Rhys Williams is a Welsh singer-songwriter based in London. He’s recorded and toured across Europe, played in the Albert Hall, recorded at Abbey Road and was once an unlikely token white atheist in a scratch gospel choir. Most thrillingly, he once supplied a one-minute flute solo to Morrissey’s platinum-selling 2004 comeback record, You Are The Quarry. His work was described as ‘striking’ on Radio 4, ‘delightful’ in Q Magazine and ‘horrific’ in the NME. It also led to two internet death threats.
Rhys’ first album, The Fire Stairs, was released in 2008. The follow-up Great Falls, recorded last summer in London and Reston, VA, was released on May 13th 2011 on Vinegar Alley Records.
